Owner Larry Bartlett has been serving North Bay and Area for over 29 years. Larry grew up surrounded by heavy equipment and towing culture. He started the business in 1988 and incorporated the company in October of 2011. Bartlett’s Towing prides itself in staying up to date by continuously taking on new projects, upgrading equipment and providing the latest available training for our staff.

Larry Bartlett begins towing operations in North Bay after growing up around heavy equipment and recovery work.
1990
4WD Off-Road Recovery Pioneer
Bartlett’s Towing pioneers four-wheel-drive off-road recovery, the first service of its kind in the region.
1995
First Tilt & Load in the Area
Introduces the region’s first tilt-and-load truck, improving service for small equipment and specialty vehicles.
1999
Heavy Tow Unit Added
Purchases a heavy-duty tow truck capable of transporting and recovering transports and large machinery.
2001
Extreme Ice & Water Recovery
Begins performing extreme ice and deep-water recoveries, including submerged vehicles up to 100’ below ice.
2004
Environmental Clean-Ups
Expands services into environmental spill cleanup and hazardous site response.
2005
Traffic Control Services
Adds certified Book 7 traffic control, road closure equipment, and safety training.
2011
Company Incorporated
Bartlett’s Towing officially becomes incorporated, expanding operations and capabilities.
2012
Major Environmental Project
Leads a massive environmental cleanup in North Bay, becoming a go-to provider for spill response.
2013
Fleet Expansion
Expands the fleet to more than ten tow trucks and heavy equipment trailers.
2014
Mobile Payment Systems
First towing company in North Bay to offer cellular debit and credit payment machines inside trucks.
2015
InTow Digital Dispatch
Implements the InTow digital dispatch system, sending calls directly to drivers via mobile app.
Fleet Upgrade
Adds a tandem tilt-and-load truck and a dedicated highway tractor.
